ENDEAVOR Endeavor is a Public Missiles Limited 4" kit that we got for grandfather's Level II cert. flight. It flew that flight at Snow Ranch with a J315R in March 04. We added a Xenon strobe for night flights and a Blacksky AltAcc2C for electronic deployment with motor delay for back-up. It got pretty badly damaged during a night flight at Aeronaut 04. A Redline motor had a very short motor delay and the chute deployed at high speed. The chute shredded, most of the body tube was zippered and the shock cord broke off the anchors. As a result, the nosecone and motor housing came down from just under 4,000' without a parachute. Paint was scratched, strobe was still blinking, AltAcc data was good and the audible beeper helped us find the housing in the dark with one broken fin. During the rebuild, we converted the rocket to dual deployment. Since then it has become our most reliable flyer and the workhorse of the Starfleet. Endeavor after rebuild. Xenon strobe in the nosecone, with space left over for our GPS/Flight or our Rocket Hunter transmitter. AltAcc2C mounted in the avionics bay with power on slide switch, F connectors for main/drogue charge deployments and a D9 connector for data connection to PC.
